Last week me and Rob visited The Whitworth in Manchester to see the Barbara Brown & Lucienne Day exhibition.
Barbara Brown designed for Heals fabrics in the 60's and early 70's. She was talent spotted as a student as her designs for furnishing fabrics were striking and unusual for the 20th century.
Lucienne Day was best known for her textiles and was a well known pattern designer and colourist. She was an enthusiastic gardner and plant forms inspired many of her textile collections.
