Hello! With SOOOO many photos of Amsterdam I didn't know where to start or how to write about them. So I have decided to round them up (kind of, there is still lots of pictures) to just a few highlights as otherwise I would be blogging for months!
Museums
Stedelijk was a favourite of mine from all of the the art galleries and museums in Amsterdam (apart from the Anne Frank house, that will always be my favourite) because of the modern collections. I am not the biggest fan of historical art work and much prefer contemporary pieces or work from the 1960's so this museum was perfect.
Lovely sunset in the Anne Frank house and museum windows <3 |
Shops

Kolifleur |
Kitsch Kitchen |
Antiek Shop |
Frozen Fountain |
There are so many lovely shops in Amsterdam with areas like Joordan and De Pijp and the 9 streets full of boutiques, concept stores and vintage treasures. The best part of Amsterdam is being able to wander around the beautiful canals and find them.
Cafes
Amsterdams only cat cafe - Kattencafe Kopjes filled with rescue cats and Scandinavian interiors! |
Winkel 43 sells the BEST apple pie |
Corner bakery, AMAZING PANCAKES |
Botanical Garden
De Hortus Botanicus is in the Jewish Quarter of Amsterdam and it is full of lovely plants, butterflies and even turtles! It is a great place to go if you want to warm up from the freezing temperatures if you go to Amsterdam in winter like we did...
We visited so many more places so if you would like any tips for areas, especially De Pijp as we stayed there, then do leave a message I would love to share more places with you!
I've never been to Amsterdam or ever really thought about going to be honest, but it looks amazing from your photos! I feel like I should look into it more now!
