Sewerby Hall
On Sunday we took a trip to Sewerby Hall in Bridlington.
It is a Grade I listed Georgian country house set in 50 acres of landscaped gardens in the village of Sewerby, 2 miles from the seaside town of Bridlington in the East Riding of Yorkshire. We had lovely weather, perfect for ice creams and a wander around the beautiful walled garden there.

I spent a good hour just enjoying being in the gardens, smelling and drawing the flowers. Listening to the sound of walking along the stones, the sound of the small waterfall. It was so peaceful for a Sunday afternoon.

I love Georgian and Victorian style houses. From the tall ceilings with decorative touches, large windows for natural light, to the fabric used for the curtains, table cloths etc. I felt so inspired in this house. I loved the real wood furniture. The quality of everything is what I aspire my house to be full of. Even the kitchen had traditional scales for measuring and heavy copper and silver pans.

We loved the zoo - everyones favourites being the penguins but I loved the pigs, there scrunched up grumpy faces. As well as the baby ducks, so cute!
It was a lovely day and I would recommend it to anyone that likes being nosey in old houses, it's also a great day out with kids as there is a zoo and a little park.
